What is Welcome at Acacia Ridge?

This Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is an opportunity for women returning to work and disadvantaged jobseekers to earn a certification and gain a direct care position in aged care, disability services or with other community service providers.

What do you gain from this course?

  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • First Aid & CPR courses
  • Critical employability skills with a wealth of real-world industry skills
  • Support and assistance from experienced industry leaders
  • A Participant Support Officer (PSO) to guide you through support services, including coaching, learning support, mentoring, counselling, assistance with licensing and transport, and referrals to specialist services
  • Accredited and non-accredited foundation, life and employability skills training
  • Intensive job search training and post-course participation support
  • Assist Clients with Medication skill set

Skilled UP - GROW - Caboolture

What is Skilled UP - GROW?

Skilled UP - GROW is a Skilling Queenslanders for Work project that aims to engage young, Indigenous and long-term unemployed members of the Toogoolawah and Esk communities through horticulture. The project offers participants the opportunity to attain a Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management and develop high quality work skills that will see them gain long-term employment and community engagement skills.

Skilled UP BUILD/GROW - Logan

What is Skilled UP - BUILD/GROW?

Skilled UP - BUILD/GROW engages young people from various backgrounds across the Logan region in a 20-week construction project, followed by a 20-week horticulture project. The program encompasses on-the-job training, skills development and a structured work preparation program for participants to eventually attain a Certificate I in Construction or Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management. Skilled UP - BUILD/GROW develops strong values and employability skills that lead to long-term job opportunities in the construction and horticulture industries.

What is Skilled UP - BUILD?

Engaging young people from a variety of backgrounds in Dalby, Skilled UP - BUILD earns participants a Certificate I in Construction through a combination of on-the-job training, skills development and a structured work preparation program. The aim of the program is for the 28 participants to achieve long term employment and quality work skills within the construction and engineering industries.
