Construction trade ready participant

DGT Trade Ready Program.
Are you ready to build a career in the construction industry?

Participants will undertake skills training and development in a safe, simulated work environment before undertaking a Structured Workplace Learning activity with one of our supporting Construction partners.

Trade Ready provides participants with the foundations to enter the Building and Construction industry with technical training and employability skills.

Trade Ready is conducted over a five-week period with the subjects designed to suit the specific region and employer requirements.

If you or someone you know is interested in Construction but are unsure how to get your foot in the door, enquire now about these entry level 5 week CSQ funded programs. These programs combine training and on the job work experience with the aim of getting participants permanent work or an Apprenticeship once completed.

  • Qld residents with Australia or New Zealand citizenship who are no longer at school.
  • White Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Drivers Licence preferable.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

If you complete this program successfully, you'll gain the foundations to enter the Building and Construction industry with technical training and employability skills.

How long will these courses take?

The program is conducted over five weeks, including two weeks of skills and employability training and three weeks structured workplace learning, providing direct exposure to a variety of construction trades and professions.

What trade pathways could I choose from by completing this program?

Your trade pathways include - Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Electrical, Cabinet Making, Civil Construction ... and many more.
