DGT partnering with Lives Well Lived to deliver Nurture Farm

We were fortunate in that we were successful in gaining a Skilling Queenslanders for Work application and delivered both a Certificate I in Construction and a Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management to create the infrastructure to support the farm.
The Construction program consisted of creating a training room, toilet and packing shed on site within an old run down shed.
The Conservation and Land Management program consisted of building a greenhouse and raised garden beds ready for planting crops.
We continue to partner with Lives Lived Well and will commence training there in July of a Certificate II in Horticulture where the students will be able to learn in a live farming environment and will sow and grow the first crops for the farm.
